About Tramaine
Tramaine Lamy is a classically trained singer, actor, song-writer and director born and bred in Trinidad and Tobago. Tramaine who double majored in Theatre Arts and Communication Studies at the University of the West Indies began honing her passion for musical theatre from an early age. From her days as a young professional in Music Festivals to headlining self produced one woman concerts, some musical theatre highlights of Miss Lamy's career include productions such as 'An evening of August, A Tribute to August Wilson', Derek Walcott's 'Steel', Rodgers and Hammerstein's 'Crazy for You', the heavily cacique awarded 'Fiddler on the Roof' and 'The Sound of Music'. Tramaine held the title role in the highly praised 2010 production of 'Elton John and Tim Rices' 'Aida', previously having played 'Belle' in ' Disney's Beauty and the Beast' which awarded her a 'Most Outstanding Lead Actress' cacique. Following this, Tramaine spent a few years with the Walt Disney Cruise Line Company as a main-stage performer aboard the 'Disney Wonder', with her own hour long featured show. Miss Lamy the creative, past teacher and continuous mentor most recently became the Children's Director at her present place of employment; London's Landmark musical Disney's 'The Lion King' at the Lyceum Theatre. Aside from her director responsibilities, she is the company's longest standing female swing covering Rafiki, Sarabi and Shenzi.
